The National Youth Football League was founded in 2006 by Luther Campbell as a complete program that enables young men and women to be able play football and cheer in a safe and healthy environment. The goal of the program is to bring surrounding communities together and provide a mentoring environment for the cheerleaders and football players. The program creates an atmosphere that cultivates the ideals of accountability and responsibility as well as the importance of education and teamwork. Unlike the other programs, the NYFL is not a pay to play league. It is designed to operate through sponsors and volunteers to provide the full benefits and access to everyone regardless of income.
